Religious Trauma Workshop
The effects of harmful religious practices can be felt by people many years later. Shame, issues with sex, and harsh judgment of self and others are all pieces of the religious trauma puzzle. Caitlin Dallas, LPC, and Dr. Bethany Lackey use existing research and experiences treating religious trauma as a foundation to teach people how and why people still struggle physically and emotionally and to create discussion about how to move forward. They discuss how religious trauma affects the nervous system as well as many parts of identity.
