Dana Deivert, LPC Resident
Life is full of transitions and adjustments. Often, there are many aspects of life outside of our control, which can feel incredibly difficult to manage. We cannot control all of the things that happen to us, but we can begin our journey in processing and moving through it. Trust can take time to establish. Let’s build a place of safety to allow healing to begin.
My practice is to walk alongside you from a stance of non-judgement and acceptance. As a counselor, it is important for me to meet you where you are and also know when to challenge. Fostering a safe environment to engage in this deeper, connective work is essential to my practice. I operate as an LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor, and am passionate about working with people experiencing identity questions and difficult life adjustments. I am also experienced in working with Military and first responders and individuals struggling with trauma and substance use. I earned my masters degree from Virginia Tech in 2020, and I practice under the supervision of Dr. Bethany Lackey, LPC and Chanelle Henderson, LPC.
Hardships in life are sometimes difficult to navigate, and choosing to do your own work can be its own difficult decision. I am truly grateful to be a part of your healing journey and witness your growth.
